I wanted to make my own R-strap, and this is the prototype. I bought the special tripod screw complete with hyas skookum hard point from a regular seller on eBay. The swivel and clip was salvaged from a freebie lanyard (yay Royal Canadian Forces), and the strap material is this really nice string I have around the house, a huge spool I bought some years ago for . It was a super deal.
Tools required: scissors or something to cut the string.
