Day 197 – Anniversary

I needed something relatively quick and easy to do this evening, mostly because I was cooking for our wedding anniversary, and because after a couple of glasses of wine anything else would be hopeless. The idea for this shot was to do something to celebrate our anniversary so I thought holding hands or something like that would be good. I’d planned for the result to be high-key and therefore was going to use a sheet of plain white paper as the backdrop but the kitchen table was still covered in plans for our house renovation and I thought that would be more appropriate. The entertainment for this shot was trying to light it by hand holding my softbox with SB-600 speedlight, focusing manually on the hands, and triggering the shutter with the remote.
