A bride in May

This month’s "Trau Dich"-Aktion (–> "I dare you!" campaign) at our german doll board is wedding related. You could show a bride, a wedding dress, a whole wedding ceremony or anything that goes ; ).
It was a perfect opportunity for me to realize a dream of mine: designing a wedding dress!
Since my girls always get casual clothes (which I love to sew, don’t get me wrong), I asked myself for some time now what kind of elaborated robe I’d make if I allowed myself the time to do one.
Tadaaaa! Here it comes!
Eva Maria was the lucky girl (well, only to model it, she won’t marry yet).
Actually, I’m not quite sure what to tell about the dress itself. The bodice is made from a slightly shimmering cotton fabric and got full lining and embroidery.
The skirt is a seperate and was made of shiny satin fabric and rushed chiffon.
Her accessories are a silver wired crown with glittery stones and a chiffon piece, a silver flower necklace and a silver ring with pearls.
We had much fun during the shooting, though the sunlight was very bright and therefor the shadows a bit dark…
